  • Abstract
The propagation laws of environmental vibration induced by moving urban rail transit on ground in Beijing China was obtained based on designed micro-tremor array. The mathematical statistics method under the criterion of least-squares has been employed to establish the empirical attenuation formula of vertical ground vibration. The result obtained from the formula agrees with the statistical result of field observation data well. The vertical ground vibration level is much higher than horizontal ones. So the vertical ground vibration level is the most important aspect when evaluating environmental vibration level on ground. In general, the ground vibration level is attenuating while the distance between observation point and track center increasing. The empirical formula built in this article can do well in computing the attenuation of the environmental vibration induced by moving urban rail transit on ground, and it can also provide reliable prediction for other ground vibration with the similar conditions, too.
