Abstract :
Recently, subcarrier index modulation (SIM) combined orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been developed as a new transmission technique. In this paper, we study a coded SIM-OFDM scheme where an encoder and decoder are employed. The transmitted bits are modulated onto the constellation points after coding. At the receiver, we provide a ML algorithms detecting method to get the soft information of the index bits. It is shown via computer simulations that the considered coded SIM-OFDM scheme achieves different system performance while employing different encoders.
