Abstract
Fiber-optic photoelectric sensors provide a sensing solution for applications involving small targets or unfavorable conditions. It is, however, recognized that photoelectric signal is subject to temperature drift, and faulty detection could be resulted if proper compensation is not considered during phase of design. In this paper, principle of fiber-optic photoelectric sensors is formulated, and temperature characteristics of the transmitter for photoelectric sensor are analyzed. Then, modeling of emitting irradiance is presented, so that temperature-induced luminous intensity could be adequately compensated. Simulation results demonstrating the effectiveness of the modeling strategy are given.
