Abstract :
A new technique to design time domain equalizer (TEQ) based on vector space projection method (VSPM) is proposed. The proposed algorithm performs better or at least comparable in terms of achievable bit rate and bit rate consistency when compared to other methods. In addition, it is suitable for real time implementation when the training period is short. We describe the constraint sets and their associated projections that capture the properties of the desired TEQ. Performance of this method is evaluated through simulations against other TEQ design methods.
