Abstract :
In this study, the effects of laser heating duration and laser heating temperature on lube depletion are studied experimentally. It is found that lube depletion depth is linearly proportional to the logarithm of laser heating duration. Lube depletion can be mitigated effectively by lowering laser heating temperature.
