Abstract

The objective of this activity is to set-up an operational EO-based service for Flood-Plain monitoring to meet the requirements of the Civil Protection Authorities and the insurance market. This project is co-ordinated by SERTIT who is teaming with the civil protection in charge of the Eastern-Defense zone in France (EMZ-COZ), and VISTA who is taking care of the insurance sector with the reinsurance company Swiss Re as a partner. SPOT image, the third party of the consortium, acts as a unique one-stop shop for the rapid provision of EO data.
