Abstract :
An optically controlled phased array antenna system employing dispersive optical waveguide enhanced wavelength-continuously tunable true time delay devices is proposed. The antenna array with control of azimuth and elevation by using optical wavelength tuning is suggested. By increasing the dispersion absolute value of waveguide the system size can be greatly reduced. Optical fiber and photonic crystal approaches were investigated with calculation and simulation.
