Abstract :
This paper presents the Thales Frequency-Hopped UWB radar demonstrator, which is capable of detecting and tracking multiple targets (e.g. people) in difficult scenarios, including through tick concrete walls. Targets can be either stationary (but breathing) or moving. Several FH-UWB radar sensors can be integrated into a generic data fusion framework, which is also described in the paper. The capability of the system is demonstrated with two application examples.
