Abstract :
The Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFS) decomposed by Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) often lose their physical meaning because of the unconventional data and noise. An improved EMD method based on Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) diagnosed of attractor was introduced. The SNR was improved and the decomposed component was given its meaning by this method. The original signal was diagnosed by SVD. Then useful part and redundancy were gained and the useful part was decomposed by EMD method. Thus, the interference was reduced, the decomposing ability was improved and the IMFs were more meaningful. The emulational example proved that the improved method is feasible.
