Abstract :
Abstract-A planar structured wire-grid like Cu/polythene/Cu device is designed and demonstrated to control coherent broadband terahertz transmission. The addition of periodic copper corrugation on each side of a polythene wafer allows surface plasmon polaritons localized in the core layer interface to control the intensity and phase shifting of transmitted wave. A significant enhancement and extinction of the terahertz (THz) transmission can be achieved through variation of polarization angle of surface plasmons in the parallel and perpendicular directions.
