  • Abstract
    A new permanent magnet actuator and its control circuit are designed to develop a series of permanent magnet AC contactor in this paper. The magnetic fields and the electromagnetic forces on the armature at different armature positions are computed by the finite element method based on a parametric mesh generation. The charging and discharging procedures are simulated and experimentally measured. The simulation and experimental results are in good agreement.
