Abstract :
This paper presents a comparison between the performance of Thin Film (tandem junctionmicro-amorphous), Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer (HIT) and Mono-Crystalline (Mono) photovoltaic (PV) module technologies between estimated and real measurement data. The respective system performances were analyse in terms of total energy generated, energy yield, and PV systems economic analysis. The meteorological parameters for the location of the PV system is obtained from Meteonorm which is then used for PV system performance analysis. The key findings suggest that under Malaysian climate environment, Thin Film PV system has the highest energy yield, which is mainly driven by its lower module temperature losses and minimum module fluctuation response.
