Abstract :
The paper describes a 5 mm band radiometer system, which is for remotely sensing the atmosphere. A total power receiver with AGC is used and periodic calibration technology is adopted. The radiometer system is based on the ground and it can be scanned in the azimuth plane, while its reflector can be scanned in the pitch plane to observe. Observed data are stored in a PC and can be digitally processed to reduce atmospheric information. The whole measuring program is real-time controlled by PC.
