  • Abstract
The influence of the geometric parameters on performance of inducer was deeply analyzed. A numerical simulation of the inducer was introduced by using software FLUENT. Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations was dispersed and solved with κ-ε turbulence model and the SIMPLE algorithm in double coordinate system. The numerical simulation predicted the distribution law of the pressure and velocity in inducer with different axial lengths and leading edge sharpened. The results show that there is an evident change of pressure and efficiency in the inducer as the axial length angle change, the best cascade solidity is between 2 ~ 3. The study also found that the leading edge sharpened can improve the performance of inducer, and moreover, the greater of the flow rate, the more obvious improvements in performance.
