  • Abstract
    This paper presents a design of wideband transimpedance amplifier applied in optical storage systems. The expansion of amplifier bandwidth is due to the combination of current-voltage and voltage amplifiers, as well as parasitic capacitance compensation. With 0.35 μm digital CMOS technology, the transimpedance gain is 9.5 dB Ω and f-3dB bandwidth is 215 MHz respectively. Group delay with ±0.5 ns variation can achieve bandwidth of 160 MHz. The occupied area of improved TIA is 240×190 μm2
