Abstract :
A method based on the least square (LS) method is introduced in this paper to analyze and calculate the characteristic parameters of periodic export thickness error of the rolling mill, and a new solution is also proposed to control the rolling mill and realize the compensation for the export thickness error. The results of simulation and the field data processing proved that this method could compute the periodic fluctuation of the export thickness error including entrance thickness and roll eccentricity quickly and accurately, compensate and control export thickness of the rolling mill.
