  • Abstract
Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is referred to as one of the important epidemic diseases in developing countries including India. There is an unprecedented alarming increase in the incidence of ROP in India. ROP needs to be accurately diagnosed as it can lead to permanent blindness if it is overlooked. The algorithm which is developed for ROP screening has been tested on 37 images which included 5 images of healthy infants. Sensitivity of 95.83% and an accuracy of 96.55% have been achieved for the classification of the stages 2, 3 and 4.
