  • Abstract
FE Analysis finds a major role in the design as it provides a detailed visualization of where structures bend or twist, and indicates the distribution of stresses and displacements. But the desired level of accuracy required can´t be assured in major engineering applications. On the other hand Experimental Model Analysis (EMA)technique is experimental techniques of obtaining the Mode shapes and natural frequency of mechanical systems and often EMA is used to update the FE models for better prediction of the simulated results or to achieve dynamic design. In this paperModel analysis of a mechanical frame is performed A FEModel was also developed using classical theory and the solution is obtained from this model by using a commercial software ANSYS. First five mode shapes were plotted. This analysis gives the natural frequency and mode shapes and its use for dynamic design.
