Abstract :
With the growing demand for access to internet anytime from anywhere mobile communication has taken a great place. But for this requirement there needs to be seamless communication amongst various network technologies. Hence vertical handover is of great importance in the forthcoming scenario of mobile communication. This paper proposes an optimized algorithm to have seamless communication using vertical handovers. The proposed method uses Fuzzy logic to select the network during handovers while maintaining or raising the QoS. The simulation results show the results using proposed algorithm for handover between LTE and WiMAX.
