  • Abstract
In this paper, a generalized approach for input unbalanced correction in polyphase PWM converters is proposed. Based on the transfer matrix analysis and symmetrical component representation, a new closed-form transfer matrix is derived. The proposed transfer matrix, which is a general case of the generalized balanced transfer matrix, eliminates all the low-order harmonics from the output. Test systems of AC/DC rectifiers, AC/AC controllers and cycloconverters are studied and simulation results are provided to verify the proposed approach
