Abstract :
China\´s rapidly growing economy stimulates the growth of private car ownership. This motorization also increased the accompanying road congestion, difficult parking, air pollution, and other serious issues. But some specific purposes of the reasonable vehicle trips are difficult to replace. As an idea combining of private cars and transit, Carsharing can improve the convenience of traveling of members, and improve the flexibility of vehicles. It is innovative transportation utilization, reducing the cost of vehicle use much. The development policy of carsharing and its benefits in social, traffic, energy, and environment is worthy of research. This paper focuses on consuming demand incentive of potential carsharing users and its developing policy in shanghai, and take carsharing as an "short-term car rental" to do deep analysis.
