Abstract :
A new domain decomposition method based on wavelet collocation is developed in this paper. The method slows down the ill-conditioned problem caused by much larger condition number of the coefficient matrix when wavelet collocation is used for solving partial differential equations defined large-scale regions. Moreover, the method is applied to elliptic equations to examine its appropriateness.
