Abstract :
Instream hydropower refers to energy obtained by a machine that is submerged in a stream. No dam is involved. The machine might be stationary, anchored in a streamflow, or moving through water, for example, propelled by a boat. It can be of any size. The goal is to have a scaleable, efficient, cost-effective turbine that converts a high proportion of captured current flow into useful power.
