Abstract :
In this paper we discussed the Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) effect in DWDM systems and showed that SRS is not a threshold phenomenon. The difference between SRS and RS is only the gain law. We also proved that the increasing speed of Stokes beam depends on not only the intensity of pumping beam but also on its self. When the power of the channel with the highest frequency is weak, the energy can still be drawn out by other channels.
