Abstract
The surface quality evaluation of strip steel is a complex problem involving many surface defects of strip steel. Aiming at features that the problem with multi-attributes and multi-indexes, the adopted the method compared the variation coefficient with the theory of gray correlation, a surface quality evaluation model for strip steel was established by calculating the optimum degree between the evaluating scheme and the ideal one. The result shows that the model is simple calculation and worth popularizing in a certain degree.
