Abstract :
This paper presents bat shape antenna [1] for the IEEE 802.11a (5.15 to 5.875 GHz) WiFi applications. The frequency range between 4 to 6 GHz is simulated. The prototype is implemented based on the simulation result. The important parameters, such as reflection coefficient, gain, directivity, overall efficiency, and power gain pattern are measured. The results from both simulation and measurement are agreement. The results of the measurement at 5.5 GHz are with reflection coefficient -9.75 dB, gain 13.04 dBi, overall efficiency 72%, and directivity 14.49 dBi.
