Abstract
The distributed measurement-based quasi-fixed frequency assignment (also known as quasi-static autonomous frequency assignment-QSAFA) is a practical solution for frequency assignment in the emerging personal communications networks (PCN/PCS). Five different QSAFA algorithms are explored under different interference threshold settings. It is found that a simple aggressive algorithm without using a threshold (LIA-least interference algorithm) performs the best. The performance of this algorithm is justified by the theoretical proof in the appendix
