Abstract :
This work deals with water vapour column content estimates over sea, using radiative transfer equation (RTE) and SSM/I brightness temperature data in clear sky conditions. A non-scattering solution of RTE for exponential water vapour and linear temperature profile has been developed. Successful comparisons with a well known statistical literature algorithm have been considered
