Abstract :
Energy storage plays an important role in renewable energy systems, for moments where the source is absent. The Fuel Cell (FC) is one of these technologies. In this paper, power optimization methods are applied on these cells using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) systems. The Perturb and Observe (P&O) and the Incremental Conductance (IC) methods are simulated and compared in order to identify which one is better for FC system application.
