Abstract :
"Green and sustainable buildings in Lebanon" is a new topic that is not well developed and very few research were done locally regarding this subject. This paper presents a detailed structural study of a traditional Lebanese house shape made of wood structure combined with a light weight concrete infill. The method is based on a pure finite elements numerical analysis using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional software and the Eurocode EC5 that harmonizes the rules of design of timber structures between member states of the European Union.
