Abstract :
This paper compares three types of technologies (Solar Chimney, CSP Tower, and PV farm) which produce electricity from the same source of energy: the Sun. It is treated for the Lebanese case and it compares the tariffs of each technology with the existing tariffs in Lebanon, the cost of each technology, and other parameters which are important to be considered while choosing any technology in order to be built. It is considered that all three technologies should have the same location of construction. This paper gives an idea about what technology is better than other technologies for the Lebanese case.
