Abstract :
This paper presents a hybrid meshing scheme for improving the solution accuracy for modeling 3-D ferromagnetic plates. Combining with the assumption of double exponential distribution across plate thickness, another analytical expression of the 2-D bilinear basis functions is proposed for the distribution of electromagnetic components on the planar of the plate. Then, the mesh refinement is assigned to the edge region of the plate. The numerical testing validates this hybrid meshing technique, and proves that it can reduce the number of unknowns and improve the accuracy of solution.
