Abstract :
On the nanosys blog, i´ve often written about the chicken and egg problem [1] that exists between content creators, broadcasters, and display makers. These three groups have had a hard time agreeing when it comes to next-generation ultra high definition (UHD) video features like 4K resolution, wide color gamut, and high dynamic range (HDR). Each side has taken a wait-and-see approach, with creators and broadcasters waiting to see more capable displays in the market and display makers looking for more content to become available before making more capable screens.
