A personal perspective on the 50th anniversary of the IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation [Invited Editorial]

I am the Historian of the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) and have been a volunteer with the DEIS since 1978 or so. Thus I am one of the few volunteers that is still active in the DEIS who can talk about the last 35 years of 50 year history of the Transaction on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation (TDEI), or the Transaction on Electrical Insulation (TEI) as it was originally called.
