Abstract
Pervasive technologies are finding their way into every aspect of our lives, including the production, delivery, preparation, and consumption of food. The articles in this special issue describe technologies and studies that illustrate just how valuable such pervasive systems can be in the domains of agriculture and food. In the future, it is expected that such technologies will significantly impact the way that people interact with their food.
