Abstract :
The viscosity properties of an electrolyte solution, which consists of 1-methyl-3- propylimidazolium iodide (MPI-I) as an electrolyte and ethylisopropylsulfone (EiPS) as a solvent, using the shear horizontal (SH) wave device are investigated. The viscosities with several concentrations of the electrolyte in solutions are measured. The viscosity increases with increasing concentration of the electrolyte. The viscosity also increases with increasing applied voltage and depends on not applied voltage but applied electric field. Furthermore, the analytical solutions of the physical properties of the SH wave propagation are derived.
