Abstract
The efficient use of electricity is one of the most viable solutions to the economy and preservation of the world´s energy potential. In industries, reducing the energy used to drive motors cause great impact. The methods commonly used in industrial hydraulic control systems are not based on reducing the energy consumption required by the system. In this paper, a comparison of two methods is carried out in two pumping systems having similar characteristics, showing that the method based on the control of pump motor speed is more efficient.
