Ancillary services management in the Slovenian power system

The paper presents an organizational structure of an ancillary services market in the Slovenian power system and discusses possible solutions for future development. It is based on the ongoing project ordered by the Energy Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. Its primary goal is to define how ancillary services in Slovenian power system are to be managed. Introduction of a competitive ancillary service market is evaluated and its feasibility is analyzed. The paper also discusses a legal framework on ancillary services management.
