Custom screens builder for SNMP MIBs

We discuss the concept of a custom screens builder for network elements management. The builder dynamically creates custom screens on the basis of screen templates. We propose XML-based templates employing a few simple but flexible constructs that significantly augment the SMI (structure of management information) and MIB (management information base) definitions. We also describe implementation details and share experience gained during development work on such a tool.
