Abstract
To achieve a formal set of system components and functions required to efficiently serve variable QoS requirements, it is necessary to introduce a generalized QoS architecture model and to formally describe the relations between system components. For an automatic system of quality of service support, by establishing or changing the discrete QoS values, it is necessary to formalize a procedure of choosing, mapping and adapting the QoS parameter values. A suitable way to present system parameters and proper relations between them is the hierarchical tree structure. The hierarchical structure presented in this paper allows a formal description and defines the importance of particular levels of parameters. The proposed structure uniquely defines allowed combinations of parameters and thus forms a discrete system of QoS points.
