Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper, we report generation of ultrabroadband THz radiation, the spectral distribution of which exceeds 10 THz, with a photoconducting (PC) emitter excited with ultrashort laser pulses (/spl sim/ 20 fs). The PC emitting antenna consists of a 1.5-/spl mu/m thick LTG-GaAs photoconductive film grown on a 0.4-mm thick Si substrate (MBE growth at 250 /spl deg/C and a 600 /spl deg/C anneal for 5 minutes after the growth) and 10-/spl mu/m wide coplanar striplines separated by 30-/spl mu/m on top of the PC film.
