Abstract :
Strict definitions of the 2-D filter support, pseudopassivity, and pseudolosslessness are given before new terms of structural pseudopassivity and structural pseudolosslessness are introduced. It is shown that structural pseudopassivity and pseudolosslessness under the finite precision conditions guarantee some useful properties (stability, small sensivity, suppression of parasitic oscillations) of the digital filter but ordinary pseudolosslessness does not. A concise summary of the properties of the structurally pseudolossless 2-D digital filters is given.
