Abstract
The lecture provides an overview of applications of signal and image processing and analysis in the medical ultrasonography. It should serve both as an introduction to the field for those who are not particularly specialised in ultrasonography, and also, for those who are more deeply involved in the field, as an outline of different methodologies applied in this broad area either as routine procedures, or still primarily as research topics.
