  • Abstract
    The paper deals with the control of optical disc drive radial tracking loop using the discrete-time sliding mode control based on generalized minimum variance control techniques. By adding a sliding mode component, the tracking performance is improved in the presence of disturbances. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is verified by the experimental results.
