The realization of the advanced hash system in Geniss Axon XP chess application

This paper is concerned with the theoretical and practical results connected with advanced hash system implementation used in Geniss Axon XP chess application. The utilized hash scheme could allocate about 240 Mb operating memory providing 40 million positions stored permanently. Combing with assembly coded searcher the overall performances of the chess program are increased for about 40% compared with no hash-implemented searcher.
