Abstract
Object-oriented frameworks are a cornerstone of modern software engineering. They are becoming increasingly important for the software community, especially because they promote reuse of design and source code. Although there are many object-oriented frameworks, there is not much done regarding the classification of frameworks. This paper describes existing classification of object-oriented frameworks and proposes a new approach to classification.
