Abstract :
Details are presented of the DAAD (Dokuz Eylu/spl uml/l Architectural Acoustic Design Group) computer software, which provides a calculation of the acoustic parameters of rooms. The software is capable of modelling, at the receiver location, the characteristics of a sound emitted from a source; it uses the ray tracing method and calculates the acoustic parameters defined in ISO 3382. The paper also presents the results we have obtained with DAAD and provides a comparison with previous work in this area.
