Abstract :
Superposition coded modulation (SCM) schemes offer flexible design tools for unequal error protection (UEP) requirements that provide efficient communications. For SCM with a desired level of UEP, in order to make the system operate at channel capacity, the rate design theorem is stated for AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels with interleaving.
