Abstract :
An accurate wind monitoring process is very important when one desires to install in a specific site wind farms for electrical power generation. The main parameters in this case are speed/wind direction, and wind power density (WPD). The later is necessary to estimate the electrical power that can be generated in a specific site. This paper presents an analysis of the final uncertainty in determining the WPD, which is useful for defining the structure of an instrument and determining the quantities necessary to be measured for this purpose.
