GSM wireless solutions in distributed embedded systems designed for automatic control

Wireless solutions are very popular nowadays. In this paper solution for controlling home devices, cars, trucks, ships and other mobile objects by using common and well known global system for mobile (GSM) network is described. GSM network is a very good foundation because most people have and use GSM cellular phones. Totally autonomous embedded system with simple program upgrading and debugging is proposed. The end platform is based on a microcontroller and AT capable GSM device. Distributed embedded system can be created using software emulated microcontroller area network (CAN).
